Performance for Change

Performance for change is a social transformative capacity development program that was designed by Faraja Foundation in 2007. It’s purposed to equip the correctional officers with a more humane approach and a changed mindset and attitude towards prisoners. The training which is ongoing aims to help officers identify with their potential, recognize the importance of their work and role as agents of behavior change for effective correction, rehabilitation and social reintegration of offenders. For over 10 years, the Foundation has trained over 5000 Prison officers in various prisons all over the country. During the trainings in the prisons, a number of officers have benefitted from new knowledge and skills, individual counseling and experienced personal and professional growth.

In 2018, we have conducted the trainings at Manyani and Kitengela Priosns and we will roll out the same at Naivasha command in September 2018 which will run for four weeks.
